The family of Peg LaVigne would like to thank everyone who took part in the women’s softball reunion game held at the Peg LaVigne memorial field.
We would like to thank the Ogdensburg City Council for dedicating the Champlain Street Women’s Softball League diamond in her memory.
Also, a special thank you to Suzanne Bradshaw, Jennifer Stevenson, Mary Lou Robinson and Mary Jane Sharpe who hosted the event.
To Renee Robinson and several others who sent out invitations on Facebook along with Michelle Whalen for doing a nice job announcing the game. To AJ Septic (Ellen Kelley) for donating the port-a-potty. Thank you to everyone who sold and bought raffle tickets for the event.
Thank you to the umpires for keeping the game on track. Tom Cobb, Kenney Kendall and Bob King. Thanks to the Ogdensburg City Recreation Department for maintaining the ball field.
Thank you to Dave Shea for all the nice write ups and pictures also; to Steve Heaton for the write up and team picture at the ball game.
It was a beautiful day and it was nice to bring back the good old days. I know mom was looking down on everyone and wishing she could play.
To the spectators and players thank you for your time and thoughtfulness. This was a great honor for our family.
Ladies, good luck on your season next year.
