To the Editor:
I don’t live in Waddington, but if I did I would vote for Mark Scott for town supervisor in next Tuesday’s Republican primary. Mark has proven himself to be a motivated, selfless leader who is looking out for Waddington’s best interest.
He must be doing something right because he apparently upset the good old boys and girls in both political parties. The old guard Republicans are challenging him in a primary and the old guard Democrats are in lock-step by putting his Republican opponent on the Democratic line.
Kind of makes you wonder what his opponent really stands for, doesn’t it?
Ultimately, all of this means that Mark Scott has said politics be damned, he’s going to do what’s right for his town. We need more elected officials with that kind of attitude.
I hope the majority of Republicans in Waddington see the good that Mark is doing and turn out in big numbers to support him. He has some great ideas, vision and the courage and energy to get things done.
