To the Editor:
Reading the letters to the editor is part of my normal Sunday routine. I must admit that if I see a lengthy one, I tend to skim it. However, last Sunday I made an exception when I saw one from a former DMV employee and read the entire letter. Having done so, a few things came to mind:
I was surprised that the writer was critical of Mary Lou Rupp. I have never heard anyone who knows her speak a bad word about her. On the contrary, most people have high praise for her capabilities and dedication. To her credit, she has been the recipient of a service award for her outstanding performance in the past. It seemed like the writer had more of an issue with the former County Clerk and is carrying it over to Mary Lou because Mary Lou was the 1st Deputy under Patty Ritchie. Experience and knowledge speak for themselves. Mary Lou Rupp has both. Mr. Regan doesn’t.
Please vote Mary Lou Rupp back into the position of County Clerk on Election Day. She has an impeccable proven record, is community oriented, and by nature, treats others with fairness and respect. Please give her your support.
