To the Editor:
As chairman of the St. Lawrence County Republican Committee, I would like to remind all voters that there are many very qualified Republican candidates running for various village/town and city offices all around St. Lawrence County this fall and I know they will all work very hard to represent you and your community.
Sheriff Kevin Wells and County Clerk Mary Lou Rupp are running unopposed and both will continue their exemplary work. Most everyone knows them and realize what assets they are for our county.
With the retirement of Mayor Bill Nelson of Ogdensburg, Wayne Ashley has demonstrated his ability to reach out to all voters in the city. He will do a fine job as mayor and continue the positive work accomplished by Mayor Nelson.
For the two Supreme Court Justices openings, I (along with the other 10 Republican County Chairs and their respective Republican Committees that compose the 4th Judicial District,) totally support both Mary Farley and Martin Auffredou for the two positions that are open this fall.
Make sure you vote for both Mary and Martin. They are both very experienced attorneys and have worked hard in all 11 counties to ensure that we as voters will be well represented.
Tom Jenison
Chairman St. Lawrence County Republican Committee
