To the Editor:
Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs will soon be holding registration for the new Scouting year. Scouting offers a year-round program culminating with various camping experiences during the summer. Cub Scout Packs welcome boys in grades 1-5 while Troops are meant for older boys.
Pack 2 in Ogdensburg will hold registration Thursday, September 11 at 6:00 in the Methodist Church, 627 Caroline Street. This Pack welcomes boys from the Lisbon and Morristown areas and offers a program for Kindergarteners as well.
Pack 2 would like to thank the following businesses and organizations for their support during the 2013-2014 Scouting year: First United Methodist Church, Howland Pump and Supply, the Ogdensburg City School District, Ogdensburg Bowl, Big Cheese Pizza, Walmart, Tractor Supply, Price Chopper, and the Eel Weir State Park.
Because of your support, we were able to provide an inexpensive program for the Cubs. The boys and family members enjoyed swimming and visiting the planetarium at OFA, a night of bowling and making their own personal pizza. Price Chopper's generous donations kept the cost down for our Blue and Gold Banquet and the overnight camping at Eel Weir State Park. Walmart is great allowing us to collect food for the Neighborhood Center and, along with Tractor Supply, allowing us to hold our Show and Sell Popcorn fundraisers.
