To the Editor:
Sometimes all the good efforts one tries go for naught because there are naysayers and doom and gloom surrounding one. It is how I have felt at times as a member of the St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators. However, I am an optimist and I see good people running in this latest county election for the board. Thoughtful, reasonable, common sense people who can work well with others and get things done.
One of these people is Gavin Regan. I have known Gavin and his wife Jeri (currently serving our country on her second deployment) for a number of years. They are salt of the earth people whose concerns are our concerns. How do we get this county moving out of the massive slump it has been in for so many years that neither we, nor our parents, nor our grandparents can easily recall the “good times”? It will take a coordinated effort by all of us and we know that can be hard without the right people.
I strongly support Gavin Regan for St. Lawrence County District 11 representative on the board of legislators. We need young, forward thinking and financially knowledgeable contributors to create, amend and adjust policies and actions to promote our county. On Nov.2, please vote for Gavin Regan for your District 11 representative and ensure we have the right people working for us in Canton.
