To the Editor:

Gavin Regan, county clerk, did a great job on WCKN’s interview with the candidates the other day. It was clear by his thoughtful, knowledgeable response to every question that he knew what he was talking about.

He clearly explained all the functions of his office and what he, and his hard-working staff, are doing to make a good office even better and more efficient. His articulate message and professional approach showed clearly why the County Clerk’s office, under his direction, has been able to increase revenue and decrease costs during his tenure.

He also is obviously trying to make the office get up to speed with the electronic age, a long overdue change.

Mr. Regan is obviously working hard and is being very successful in his efforts.

I hope St. Lawrence County citizens return him to office because we need strong leaders who can provide lean government and increased revenue.

Gavin has the desire, the education, the business experience and the people skills to be an excellent Clerk.
