To the Editor:
I have known Gavin Regan for over a decade. We had the privilege of working together with great female athletes in the sport of ice hockey. I was a coach and Gavin served as a trusted volunteer administrator in the role of team leader.
Gavin’s work with two Olympic teams and three National teams was outstanding. All five teams won medals, including the first World Championship ever by a USA team in 2005 in Linkoping, Sweden. Gavin has a tremendous work ethic and a persistent drive to be the best. No task was ever too demeaning or too difficult. You could always depend on him to get the job done. He has a knack for making the hard stuff look easy and the mundane fun.
Gavin is dependable, caring, trustworthy and fair. These are the characteristics of the person I will always consider a best friend. The people of St. Lawrence County will be fortunate to have him work for them.
Please vote for Gavin Regan on November 8th.
