To the Editor:
Going back a few years when dissolution was the topic, Rose Rivezzi and Eleanor Hopke rose to the challenge to provide new leadership to Potsdam's future.
Both have done so by becoming representatives on town and village boards. They have done a great job and need to be re-elected. They both want the same thing: a strong and vibrant town and a strong and vibrant village.
Whether we will see ourselves with one government remains to be seen. But, with both Rose and Eleanor doing their thing and encouraging others to join them!
Potsdam will be known as a great place to live -- where cultural, natural, economic and educational resources combine to make Potsdam the place to thrive, raise children, and eventually retire.
Downtown Market Street will flourish with the magnetism that draws all of Potsdam and its visitors beyond the village, there will be another set of magnets that can make Potsdam the shining star of St. Lawrence County.
Make sure to vote for Rose Rivezzi and Eleanor Hopke.
