To the Editor:
I am a Potsdam village resident and I just received a letter from Casella explaining their new Zero-Sort service.
I am glad that you are excited about your “improved” recycling service. I am not.
This means that every village resident will now have to drag two containers to the curb and back instead of one.
This also means that, during the winter, a larger area must be cleared of snow from the street plows in order to accommodate two containers.
I am sure this must be an improvement for Casella but it certainly is not for me and, I am sure, not for many other village residents.
