To the Editor:
The Waddington Summer Concert Series again ended a very successful year. We offered concerts with a wide range of musical style.
Thank you to the sponsors, volunteers, musicians, for a super season! Thank you to the audience for your support and donations. They are both greatly appreciated. The weather gave us a little challenge but everyone rose to the challenge and the shows went on with record attendance of just under 4,000.
This year again the concert series was fully funded by individuals and businesses, who sponsored or co-sponsored a show, donated money as patrons or gave goods or services. Without these sponsors, we could not enjoy this entertainment on our waterfront.
We would like to thank the following businesses and individuals who donated money to Sponsor or Co- Sponsor a show: Artworks Creperie, Community Bank, Dan Rose Memorial Golf Tournament, Homecoming Committee, Iroquois Gas, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jones, KT Power, Inc., MX Fuels, Phillips Memorial Home, St Lawrence Recreation, SeaComm Federal Credit Union, Seaway Trail Auto Sales/Car Wash, Premier Self Storage, Village of Waddington, Waddington True Value & Building Supply, Walmart of Massena, and Dr. and Mrs. David Zysik. We also would like to thank all who come to our concerts and give so generously to our basket collection. We hit an all time high this year. Thank you!
We also thank the following businesses and individuals for donating goods and services: Dawna Miller, Kunoco IGA, Pepsi Cola of Ogdensburg Bottlers, Town of Waddington and Mark Scott.
The other people who also made the concerts possible are the volunteers that helped me each week at the concerts and behind the scenes. They are John and Arlene Tenbush, Lyle Lakins, my husband Dana, the Village Crew, Carol Burns and Keri O’Bryan at the Town Offices for helping behind the scenes.
Thank you to the Village of Waddington for letting us use the Civic Center for four of our concerts. Without that use, our concerts would have been wiped out. Our new Pavilion is now available to us and can be used rain or shine! Thank you to the Power Authority for such a beautiful place to hold our concerts.
