Potsdam's Village Diner owners say farewell to customers

To the Editor:

It’s business as usual at the Village Diner in Potsdam. New owners Denise and Jarrod are taking over the reins as of Nov. 10. They have ties to the North Country and bring many years of business and food experience along with them. We’re sure you will love them and they are anxious to meet everyone. Our wonderful staff will continue to serve the old standards as well as many new surprises.

We would like to thank our employees. They are by far the best in the area. No business can succeed unless the people who work there truly care about the service they give as well as about each other. We were blessed to fid them and will miss them greatly.

Thank you to our customers (friends), many who have become close friends. It has been a pleasure to know you and to serve you. Your patience overlooked our many flaws, new business jitters and lack of organization almost ten years ago, but we all pulled through. Mary and I would ask that the same consideration is given to Denise and Jarrod in the next chapter of the Village Diner.

We would also like to thank our many suppliers, sales reps, support staff and delivery drivers for providing excellent service and quality products.

The shared memories of births, deaths, celebrations, dreams, gossip, jokes, fish stories and general pleasantries will remain with us fondly as we start our next chapter while enjoying our family in Massachusetts. Thanks for all the memories.

Greg and Mary Circe, Potsdam
