To the Editor:
I would like to thank the Potsdam Community for their continued support of our annual turkey dinner Thursday, Oct. 17. The profits support the program and mission of the Potsdam United Methodist Church.
This dinner has been served annually since the 1950’s and some folks begin calling September to put the date on their personal calendars. This year we recorded at least 466 tickets divided nearly evenly between take-out and dine-in.
A special thank you goes to Theresa Smith and the culinary students at Seaway Tech, who made all the rolls from scratch and assisted with the coleslaw preparation. Another note of appreciation goes to members of the Sigma Delta fraternity who volunteered their time at the end of the evening to help with dishwashing and taking down the tables and chairs. Their community service was most welcome and appreciated.
Carol Willmert,
