The UPS Store sponsored food drive Nov. 4 will mark the second anniversary of the Potsdam Snack Pack Program. When we launched the program, we were preparing snack packs for just 40 elementary school students.
Today, we’re serving more than 240 students across the Potsdam Central School District each week. Our ability to continue providing healthy snacks and lunch items is due to the tremendous support we’ve received from community members, businesses, and service organizations.
We’re extremely grateful to Janice Adderley, co-manager of The UPS Store 5986, for going above and beyond to ensure that we had enough donations and volunteer support each week. For the second time this year, Janice and her fantastic team organized a two-weeks long food drive as students were returning to school.
Jeff Proulx, owner of The UPS Store and Save-A-Lot, and John Winter, General Manager of B99.3/Star 100.1 Radio Station, co-sponsored the food drive that collected 1,847 individual servings of various food items!
Thank you to every person who took the time to purchase and donate food items, including the items dropped off at churches, beauty salons, and other businesses.
I continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity of so many members of this community. Thank you for your ongoing support, we couldn’t do this without you!
