To the Editor:
The Board of Trustees and all those interested in the operation of the Potsdam Public Library, staff, friends and volunteers, would like to extend a public “thank you” to Greg Bouchard and all those responsible for the “Hankfest” charity event held on August 8 at Sandstoner Park in Potsdam.
Through the generosity of Mr. Bouchard, President of the Hankfest Charity Group, and all the people involved in organizing the afternoon’s music, door prizes and food, the Potsdam Public Library netted $700 for its children’s reading area. That generous donation was also aided by the contributions of over 30 area businesses.
Our public library is a valuable local resource for all kinds of people. But it could not do its job nearly so well without the help and generous support of community groups like the Hankfest organizers.
So, again, thanks for your support and see you at next year’s Hankfest!
Pam Yugartis,
President, Board of Trustees, Potsdam Public Library
