To the Editor:
This letter is intended to compliment the staff at the Ponderosa Steak House. Recently I took my 83-year-old mother to the Ponderosa in Potsdam. The day after, she informed me she was missing her money.
After thoroughly checking her pocketbook and her home, I realized she must have left the blank envelope with her money in it on the table after paying the cashier.
I was working a 12-hour shift for the hospital that day and did not have time to call Ponderosa until the following morning. Before I even finished my sentence, the woman assured me the waitress had given the manager the money and it was locked up in the safe. We went and picked up the cash the following day.
In a world of dishonesty and mistrust, it was uplifting and encouraging to have experienced this. My mother has been victimized with identity theft and has suffered a great deal because of it.
It is with a grateful heart I write this letter of thanks to the staff at Ponderosa. We have been patronizing this Ponderosa for many years and will continue to do so. I recommend it to everybody that reads this letter.
