To the Editor:

This year our Perennial Plant Annual Fundraiser again joined the “Strut Your Mutt" event on May 5 at the Sandstone Arena, Potsdam, as organized by the Potsdam Humane Society staff.

We used the stage set-up for that evening's drag queen event!

The proceeds of the sale have been split again this year. $740 was donated to the Potsdam Humane Society for the care and comfort of the dogs and cats under their care, and $150 to fill the downtown planters and the Gazebo with flowers. Lou Ann Lange has organized the latter.

The Clarkson Garden Club and the Potsdam Garden Club would like to thank Kevin and Jennifer Blanchard of Willow Tree Florists for their donation of a lovely orange/yellow wax begonia hanging basket for a raffle prize.

In addition, we would like to thank Daryl Kolanko of Potsdam Agway for the donation of 3 flats of annuals: Vista red salvia, silverdust Dusty Miller, and delta purple and white pansies. Lots of club members and local residents took part in digging perennials, starting seeds and helping setting up the event.
