To the Editor:
The Potsdam Lions Club would like to thank the community for its overwhelming generosity and support during our annual “White Cane Sale” Oct. 4 to 5 and Oct. 18 to 19. This year we raised more than $800.
This money will help fund donations to the Potsdam Holiday Fund, the Potsdam Neighborhood Center and Helping Hands. It will also help fund various projects such as vision screening for young children, the Leader Dog program, Thanksgiving food baskets, free public skating at Pine Street Arena over the Christmas holidays, or other vision related projects.
The Potsdam Lions Club is seeking new members. We meet Tuesdays Nov. 5 and Nov. 19 at 6 p.m. at Ponderosa. For information call Donna Ober at 244-1141.
We are proud to have served the Potsdam community for more than 75 years and look forward to serving the community for many more years to come.
