The Potsdam Food Co-op announces a new benefit of being a Co-op Member-Owner as an additional way to foster community.
Co-op Community Cooks is a series of informal potlucks for Member-Owners, a social gathering surrounding food and conversation, with no business agenda.
Every fourth Thursday of the month (unless otherwise noted) the Co-op’s Membership Committee will be hosting these social gatherings. They will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Potsdam Town Hall’s Community Room at 18 Elm St., just down the street from the Co-op.
The next potluck will be held Jan. 26 with the theme: “Comfort Food.” Those attending will decide on the theme for the next month. Please bring a dish to share and your own place setting.
For more information call 265-4630. Also, check out the Co-op Community Cooks Facebook page at www.facebook.com/groups/coopcommunitycooks or search “Co-op Community Cooks - Potsdam” on Facebook.
The Potsdam Food Co-op & Carriage House Bakery and Deli is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required to shop) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join.
