To the Editor:
On Nov. 10 the Elks Lodge in Potsdam held a dinner to honor veterans and their friends and families. What a wonderful way to pay tribute to those who have fallen as well as all who have served our great country in so many ways. The elks went above and beyond, as they always seem to do.
With wonderful food and great company, it was an honor to be there. Our son Chad Fuller was awarded the first ever medal of valor by the Potsdam Elks. For this we are truly honored as this is coming from the people of our own great community.
So we would like to say thank you to all the staff and members of the Elks who made this special evening possible. We would also like to thank Clarkson ROTC as well as the gentleman who performed taps. Very special thanks to Ernie Charleston and Debbie Moschelle for all they did in hosting this great event. But most importantly thanks to all of our veterans and their families.
