To the Editor:
I read the article about the opening of the Potsdam Community Dog Park, and was thrilled with its progress from concept through completion.
I immediately went to their new website, http://www.potsdamdogpark.org/ and was happy to see a “Donate” icon in the upper right hand corner. When I clicked on that, I noticed the several different ways in which interested parties may choose to donate cash.
Since I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, the most efficient way for me to donate is through PayPal, and I was able to send my donation directly and easily. I know they’ll receive my donation today or tomorrow at the latest.
That sure beats Mexican “snail mail,” which could take weeks or months.
I encourage others of the same persuasion to visit the aforementioned dog park website and consider a donation as well. I know that money is tight, but I’m sure the humane society will be grateful for anything you contribute.
This letter may sound like a paid for commercial. It is not. I was born and raised in Potsdam and frequently check thisweek@northcountrynow.com.
I am always uplifted by the community spirit shown in news of Potsdam. Way to go, Potsdam amigos!
