To the Editor:
I have had such a great week as a resident of the village, that I thought I would share some positive thoughts about living here.
Just this past week, from my house on Main Street, some of my best walks included going to: jazzercise classes; the new Trillium Yoga studio; the SOAR office at Potsdam State to register for the fall; the IGA to pick up my Sunday New York Times; Clarkson’s walk trail by the river, and Ives Park.
In addition to enjoying the new walking path at Ives Park and the swing overlooking the river, I walked my kayak to the boat launch (yes that was me), and was able to enjoy a beautiful paddle on the Raquette.
So, even with fall coming, I can just dress appropriately, and continue my excursions into the village and participate in all the activities that Potsdam has to offer.
Despite the ever growing toilet gardens, poorly functioning hydro plant, store closings, and dropping my cell phone in the river, this is a great place to live. My retirement is active and fulfilling and my fitbit just continues to rack up the steps!
