To the Editor:
In response to “Ogdensburg Mayoral Candidate Not Content With Status Quo,” which ran in the Oct. 3-9 issue of North Country This Week: it stated that the Walgreens store in Ogdensburg might have been saved with more effort on part of the city of Ogdensburg.
I don't think so…it closed because of competition. When you have three drug stores within a few blocks of each other, something has to happen.
Walgreens was the new guy on the block and except for some sale items it never resonated with shoppers.
Politicians, check out the facts before you blame anyone.
