To the Editor:
We are trying to increase awareness about our Pierrepont Museum.
In 2010, after we had completed renovations in the interior, a leak was discovered in the roof. We feel fortunate that the roof, replaced about 1980, had survived those many years.
In 2011, a crew of five volunteers helped repair the area in most need. This was only a temporary fix.
In the next months, we will be asking for assistance in this big project we are facing. Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcomed. We need to take pride in Pierrepont, so please come and visit our museum, located in the old schoolhouse, next to the Town Hall on State Hwy. 68, Pierrepont. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Officially, we are open the May 31 weekend; however, I am available at your convenience most times.
