To the Editor:
The Parishville Ladies Aid Society recently packed many large boxes and approximately 100 plates of fruit, baked goods and sweet treats for many families and residents in the area. Several former residents who now reside in nursing homes also received these special holiday treats.
A big thank you is expressed to the staff and students of Parishville-Hopkinton Central School who donated the canned and boxed goods for this annual project. Thank you also goes to the Parishville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Amvets Ladies’ Auxiliary Post 265, Amvets Post 265, Sons Of Amvets Post 265, NuMed, Inc., Amber Lodge#395, Potsdam Elks Lodge, Parishville Hilltoppers, Evan and Connie Harper.
Workers who donated their time to call, sort, pack and deliver the treats were: Matt Anable, Judy Barrett, Chris Caringi, Michael Caringi, Sue Britton, Linda Downing, Connie Harper, Evan Harper, Debbie Jones, Bob Wickwire, Lois Wickwire, Luie Wilson and Kris Woodcock.
Special thanks to the many Parishville residents who baked items and donated canned and boxed goods to be placed in these boxes and plates. This community wide effort and sharing is another reason Parishville is a great place to live.
