Parishville craft fair a success thanks to public

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Parishville Historical Association, we would like to thank everyone for their participation and assistance in our first annual craft sale and car show held on June 2 to benefit the Bicentennial Fund. Although the weather was not cooperative, we had a very successful day and a lot of fun. The winner of the 50/50 raffle was Sherry Remington from Parishville who generously donated her winnings back to the Bicentennial Fund. A big thank you goes out to the Ladies Auxilary for all their help and assistance and to the Parishville AMVETS Post 265 for their monetary donation to help offset our costs.

Thank you to all the vendors who participated and who generously donated gifts for the silent auction. Thank you to George Cox and all the car enthusiasts who braved the rain and cold to help us in our fund raising effort. Thank you to Robert Wickwire and his helpers for setting up and selling bread dough. We would also like to extend a big thank you to Dick Wickwire for setting up and playing music throughout the day.

We would like to make this an annual event and hope to be better organized next year. We are putting in an order early for better weather. Anyone interested in participating in a craft show this fall - please contact me at 265-6180 or tcparishville@yahoo.com. We would like to have just a craft show when it is closer to Christmas.
