To the Editor:
First of all, we apologize for our error in the full-page advertisement in your January 11-17 issue of North Country This Week. The ad was on page 10 and titled “Wind Power…” The error is under “Is Wind Energy Clean?” The correct information is “One (3) MW wind turbine requires 150 tons of coal for an on-shore type or 220 tons of coal for an off-shore type.”
Additionally, we wish to thank the editor and staff for their coverage of this very important issue. We feel the public needs as much information as possible, as a project like this would totally change the character of our community, from rural and residential to industrial.
We urge all those property owners who have received a questionnaire from the towns of Parishville or Hopkinton regarding the project to answer it and return it, as soon as possible.
If you would like more information see our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/citizensforruralpreservation.
Thank you again,
Lucia D. Dailey
