To the Editor:
The energy, they say, is green;
I am all for what’s green and clean,
But – input, output -- think, my friend;
Is there a real gain in the end?
A lot of output tax we pay
To have these giants spin away.
Whose greedy pockets suck it up?
As if they never get enough?
They give some cash to use your land
But then you’re gagged, you understand?
And will you sign for what could be
A great big liability?
And neighbors ‘round could stand to lose
Their health, their wealth, the lovely views,
The peace, the quiet, restful sleep.
But love for neighbors, please, let’s keep.
Ah! That’s the problem. Who of us
Has always shown true love and grace?
We need God’s love, our hearts to swell;
Invite Christ in your heart to dwell.
Give Him your all; He’ll set you free
And make you what you ought to be.
Then through the world still follows greed,
You’ll have the peace of heart you need.
God’s in control with love and might,
With wrath for wrong, reward for right.
God’s love will conquer in the end.
And truth will always rise again.
What are these windmills all about?
What are the facts? Please, search it out.
Let’s spread the truth, expose the lies,
Live in the goodness God supplies.
