My name is Greg Crump. On November 7th, I am asking for your support in my bid for the re-election of my position on the town board. I have lived in this town for close to 40 years. Over the last 5 years I have served on the Hopkinton Town Board.

I have truly enjoyed my time on the board working with the rest of the board members to make improvements within our town. During my tenure I have been involved with numerous improvement projects, the latest of which being the recent renovation to the town’s museum and library.

I look forward to being involved in future projects that continue to improve our town facilities. With your support, I also look forward to continuing to working with the rest of the town board on all the issues we face such as budget, grants, and helping the highway department obtain and maintain the equipment they need to keep our roads safe. I am aware, through experience, that in this position we are responsible for a wide variety of issues it takes to run a town.

I am a member of the Hopkinton-Ft. Jackson Fire Department, where I currently serve as an assistant chief. Over the last 15 years with the fire fepartment,I have volunteered countless hours towards running emergency calls, training, working on/at the station, and working fundraisers.

I am also currently serving in my 6th year as a councilperson on the Tri-Town Rescue Squad Board of Directors. My opponents will say I do not care about this town or its residents; I will post my record of service to this community and its residents against theirs any day.

My opponents have also misrepresented that my employer is a leaseholder for the proposed wind project. This is in fact not true. The issue was discussed at a town board meeting, in which my opponents were present, and it was proven that my employer is not a leaseholder. I realize the continuation of this falsehood is an attempt win some votes, but it is a misrepresentation of the truth to say the least.

I encourage the residents of Hopkinton to get out and vote on Nov. 7. When you do go to vote, please consider experience and service record.

Thank you for your support! I look forward to working for and working with this Town over the next four-year term.

Greg Crump
