To the Editor:

Thank you to those who were in support of the first Veterans of Foreign Wars Family Freedom Festival. To Reverend Mike, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to hold the event in the park.

I also want to quote you on your reply to my concern, "It has been my experience that the numbers don't really tell the tale, you did something significant and positive." Thank you for lifting my spirits, you made me smile and I kept the pride and strength to continue to support our veterans in my heart.

To the Village of Canton, The Canton Fire Department, The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's and Clerk, Canton PD, Wounded Warriors, and the Humane Society, for joining us with information to educate our youth and our community.

To the vendors: Pizza Hut, Airgas & Walgreens, Thank You for your donations to our event. To the media, outstanding coverage on our event. Thank you!

To the 10th Mountain Division, thank you for sharing your music with us.

To Canton College Greek Students, thank you for your volunteers who helped us make it happen, very much appreciated.

To those in our community who attended, thank you! I hope you enjoyed the event and will share the experience with others.

To the members of VFW Post 1231, thank you for your dedication to our organization. Thank you to Mary Jane Cassada for chairing this event.

In closing, on behalf of VFW Post 1231 Auxiliary, Thank you for support to Edward C. Seymour VFW Post 1231.
