To the Editor:
Sincere and much deserved thanks to all of the Pierrepont and Potsdam and county and state DOT crews that so professionally and courteously cleared and widened the road shoulders and superbly paved the Back Hannawa Road, now CR 59 road this year.
What a pleasure it is to travel on it to work and for pleasure.
Unfortunately, the great work will be short lived if the DOT continues to allow the loaded or empty 12, 14, 16 and 18 wheeler logging or regular or extended length semi's to travel on it.
Further, anyone driving a car on it knows that an oncoming truck of the kind mentioned always travels on or over the yellow lines and crowds cars onto the shoulder.
Hopefully no car-large truck accidents will occur before the route is declared off limits to the large trucks.
