To the Editor:
I have to admit, the latest survey about Black Friday was the most interesting and honest set of responses I have seen in a long time. I don't often read the survey results 100% but I did this one; no skimming, I actually read each response.
There is a sure sign here of a lot of good people and why they are beleaguered as much as they are by the greed and scams of the holiday seasons. It is really comforting to know that I am not so different from anyone else based on the responses about this subject and many others.
My wife and I found many others were feeling like we do and it's a wonderful feeling to know we're not alone, even though it's not a scientific survey per say.
I was also particularly gratified to find a lack of the trolls and miscreants who like to post silliness when it comes to things like this. Overall, it is almost a stand of solidarity by the masses and indicates that though we may not like it, there is an attitude that we want honesty and empathy in advertising, stopping scams and ending as much as humanly possible the greed and psychotic actions and efforts or whom we have to endure many these days.
I send a heartfelt kudos to all who made their feelings known because I doubt I was the only one to see so much solidarity and refusal to give in to it wherever it exists.
Like a bright star on a dark, moonless night: we will not be herded and told what we want!
