To the Editor:

It is of vital importance to those of us who live in the North Country, who is chosen to represent us in the United States Congress.

This year the choice is quite easy. Elise Stefanik has worked tirelessly in an effort to preserve and protect what precious assets we are blessed to have here in the 21st NY Congressional District.

Fort Drum stands out as one of the most visible. Her support for Second Amendment rights and her pledge to staunchly uphold our Constitution is well known.

She supports our veterans and the services they have earned as a result of their military service. She has vowed to support the repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obama care), when the issue comes before the Congress next year, under a new president. There are many other examples but brevity rules.

She is on the road constantly, from one end of the district to the other, meeting with constituents and a variety of groups, explaining her positions and her voting record and asking for input from these groups and constituents. She is responsive to the public, regardless of party affiliation, responding to and dealing with thousands of requests for her intervention on behalf of district residents.

This is a woman who has shown us by her actions and her record over the past two years that she has the best interests of her district’s residents first and foremost on her mind. She is approachable and responsive and most of all, she cares.

She deserves to be re-elected our congresswoman and I would urge everyone to support her. In the past two years, she has proven that she has the ability to work across the aisle and get the job done. Please consider voting for Elise to continue being our congressional representative.
