There have been many claims and charges by supporters of Tedra Cobb, concerning Elise Stefanik's record. A record they say of absence, neglect and of not being representative of North Country values. My experience and knowledge of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is quite the contrary. Elise is a huge supporter of our agricultural industry.

It is NYS's number one industry as well as our North country's. She has held several meetings with agricultural leaders, businesses and farmers to get our input on upcoming national legislation. She has heard our concerns about taxes, mandates and overregulation . She has asked for direction and received it from our local producers.

She has acted on behalf of local agricultural businesses such as Wight and Patterson, a company that employs numerous employees, sells feed and supplies to our farmers here in St. Lawrence and Franklin counties.

Wight and Patterson was experiencing a problem with importation of feed at our border stations. I contacted her, she responded within 15 minutes, on a Sunday, on Mother's Day and on Monday, her representative contacted the owner to get further information. A solution is being administered at the USDA right now.

On an individual level, an acquaintance complained about Elise's vote against the ACA. She worried what would happen to her adult child, who would need ongoing care in the event of her death. Who would care for her? I mentioned this to Elise and Elise personally called her offering help.

Elise believes in America and a strong national defense. She has been outstanding in her support for Fort Drum and the 10th Mountain soldiers . Fort Drum is our nations only cold weather training military site and it is vital that we keep it strong. Tedra Cobb is unsure about it. Is she uncertain about Fort Drum or is she uncertain about the need for a strong military for America?

Please vote for Elise Stefanik this November. It's a vote for the North Country and it's a vote for America.
