To the Editor:

My safe, little neighborhood includes many senior citizens and many children.

I see the seniors outside all the time. They take walks, ride bikes, do yard work, and stand around talking and laughing with each other.

The children, on the other hand, I rarely see. I know they live here, but they’re never outside. They don’t ride bikes, play games, talk, laugh, or even have squabbles.

It’s as though the seniors are living the youthful lives, and the youth are living like old people.

Is this The Twilight Zone? Calling Rod Serling!
