To the Editor:
In response to the article “Tenants Must Aid in Bedbug Extermination” which appeared in the Oct. 14-20 issue of North Country This Week: This is ridiculous. Does he know how fast five bedbugs can turn into hundreds and then thousands?
Why does he think it's so complex that he had to get outside help before he even thought about reacting to it? Is he really that ignorant? Has he ever been outside our country? Our state? Or even Ogdensburg?
Will the bedbugs be eradicated by the end of the week? Will they remain eradicated?
Does he know anything at all about their life cycles and methods of transport?
I'm betting the answers to all three questions are no! "Treating" is not the same as eradication! He talks in circles.
Blaming the tenants is stupid and cruel! He's only spouting excuses. Using microwave ovens will not eradicate bedbugs! How stupid!
Sarah Purdy now says she'll reach out? Now? Why such a belated effort? Do they know that bedbugs eat you while you sleep and their bites are painful, itchy, and can kill certain people with certain diseases? Rare, but true! She needs to sleep with them to understand! In fact, so should Seymour!
