What can be said about Colleen Anderson?
As president of the Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club, she lead over 30 women through dozens of service projects and fundraisers to improve the status of women, not only in the North Country, but throughout the world. She orchestrated these many projects in only two years, 2014-2016.
She, of course, had the help of the club and the new ideas that members brought in, but it takes a great leader to bring ideas to fruition.
Her leadership has made a positive impact on the lives of so many people, they cannot be counted. Colleen is not only a great leader, but also a great person with a strong moral compass, and a passion for helping anyone in need.
As a person, Colleen is one of the most caring people that you will ever meet. Her passion for helping people has inspired members of our community to get involved and help improve the lives of women they’ve never met.
Through the clubs many service projects while she was at the helm, our community banded together to raise funds to help women and children in need.
A few of those projects included collecting bras for women in third world countries to sell and make their own living, collecting books to improve the literacy of children in our area, writing Christmas cards to members of our military, and so much more.
The members of the Ogdensburg Area Zonta Club are very grateful for the service that Colleen has provided during her biennium as president.
