To the Editor:
We chummed together for 60 years and still remained friends. It would be hard to list all we did together; things like canoeing, skiing, traveling, and working in the entertainment world.
There were many fun escapades over time. I guess my favorite was when we decided to place a firecracker in a hornets nest. You climbed a high ladder old buddy, to accomplish the stunt. We didn’t hurt the hornets, but it sure did make them mad. To this day, no fireman has ever come down a ladder that fast.
You also showed me how to ride a motorcycle with the handlebars pointing right at 45-degree angle.
Yes, you ole pal, did many more things to make me laugh! And for that I will always be grateful. It is said that laughter is the best medicine for many ills. If true, you served me well. Hence forth I refer to use as “Doc!”
