To the Editor:
On behalf of our staff and board of directors, I would like to thank the St. Lawrence County community for coming together at the Walk To End Alzheimer’s Sept. 15. Nearly 200 people joined us in Canton to raise $35,000 to support Alzheimer’s research and support services.
Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth-leading cause of death and the most expensive disease in America, according to multiple studies. The efforts of our walkers fuel both our quest for a cure and our ability to provide comfort and support to families throughout the North Country living with a dementia diagnosis.
Your generosity brings us one step closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s. Thank you.
Catherine James,
Chief Executive Officer
