I, as many other North County residents were shocked to say the least, when the article appeared on North County Now of Tedra Cobb’s announcement that she is running for congress again.

Please, with all do respect, what part of “no thank you” is not being heard here? The election is just a little over 150 days past, the candidates message from what was printed in the article, has not changed at all and Elise Stefanik continues do an outstanding job on every front.

The people of the North Country took the time to listen to what the congressional candidates had to say, watched the debates, and then went to the poles and made our choice.

So now the loser is telling us we were wrong or misinformed somehow? Absolutely not, we all heard the ideas of the candidates and understood exactly where they stood on the issues that are important to us and voted accordingly.

The idea of a losing candidate making this type of announcement shortly after being beaten in an election only confirms, by this type of action that they are not a good listener and – a good listener is needed to hear the needs of their constituents if ever elected.

The simple reason Elise Stefanik won the election is because she is an outstanding representative of the North County and the vast majority of the voters are very happy with the job she is doing. End of story!
