To the Editor:
Is it important to elect local candidates or does St. Lawrence County need to import candidates from Washington D.C., Franklin County or wherever?
Jim Monroe, candidate for DA, was raised here and went through school in Canton. He has worked in St. Lawrence County as assistant DA, private attorney, Ogdensburg City judge and Canton justice of the peace for many years.
In addition to his great background, Jim is very competent, has integrity and is fair to all.
His opponent, whose experience is many times less than Jim’s, has lived here for almost four months, if you count the time he simultaneously claimed Franklin County and St. Lawrence County as his residence.
