To the Editor:
We are all familiar with the contentious, regretful, costly, sad, slow and faulty justice with our St. Lawrence County District Attorney over the last few years.
On Nov. 7, all of us, no matter what party, have a chance for "Justice For a Change," with Canton native Jim Monroe.
If you want a DA who can hit the road running with the most legal, prosecutorial, fair rulings as a city and town judge, vote for Jim Monroe.
If you want a DA who has experience in St. Lawrence County managing drug court cases and who will work closely with agencies and officials to halt growing addictive and deathly opioid abuse, vote for Jim Monroe.
If you want a DA who knows this county first hand, in depth through service as assistant DA to DA Manning and to DA Duve, vote for Jim Monroe.
Canton native Jim Monroe has spent his entire professional life in St. Lawrence County. His opponent just moved into this county from Franklin County a month ago without the vast and varied legal, judicial, and wide experience with county and town officials and agencies as Jim Monroe has.
Your vote counts. Everybody's does. Just look at Thomas Jefferson winning the Presidency by one vote and Bill Sheridan's one vote victory years ago to represent Canton in our County Legislature. 2017 primary
results showed one vote wins.
We ask you to look at Jim Monroe's background and integrity in our county and vote for Jim Monroe and "Justice for A Change" for DA.
