To the Editor:
I am writing this letter in support of Jim Monroe’s campaign for St. Lawrence County district attorney.
My husband and I have known the Monroes for many years as neighbors, friends, and even clients. They are amazing people who have worked hard in balancing their successful careers with raising three children.
We have always found Jim to be an intelligent, hardworking, and ethical person who has a strong sense of justice.
He follows the facts and is not the type of person who will seek a conviction at all costs if there is a possibility of innocence. But if the facts point to guilt there is no one more determined to obtain justice for the victim and his/her family. That is what we need in the district atorney’s office.
Jim has 25 years of successful experience as a defense attorney, prosecutor and judge. During this time, he has also done countless cases of pro bono work if he believes in a person’s cause and his help was needed.
Jim grew up in St. Lawrence County and has the deep connections and people skills to run a well-organized, professional office. He knows the issues facing the county and I have every confidence that with Jim at the helm, justice will be served.
I hope you will join me in voting for Jim Monroe on November 7th.
