To the Editor:
James Monroe has over 30 years as an attorney, city court judge, assistant DA and special prosecutor.
My first encounter with Jim was in 2007 on a local softball field. Our love of the game led to a friendship over the next 10 years and has provided me with some excellent racquetball competition.
I can say without hesitation that Jim Monroe is one of the most honest, straightforward, and dedicated people I have known.
To me, the office of District Attorney is an exceptionally important position and should be held by a person who has the collective experience, integrity and drive to assure justice is upheld.
An ideal DA will never let political affiliation interfere with decisions or judgments. Jim Monroe fits the description to a "T."
I urge every eligible voter to participate in the November 7th election to put the most qualified and able candidate in office, regardless of political affiliation.
