To the Editor:
It has been over three weeks now that our family dog, Manny, went missing in the middle of the night. We knew that it was not a normal “sniff out the houses three down from ours” event as his time away continued to get longer and longer that night.
We thought to ourselves that it would be extremely difficult to thoroughly search for him around our home and surrounding areas on our own.
But we decided that he needed to come home one way or another. Although we were not fortunate enough to bring our beloved boy home alive, we have been lucky to have had so much support from our friends, neighbors, community, and surrounding communities.
We especially want to thank the community of Waddington for coming together to help our family during this difficult time.
Whether you were able to come out with us to search, go out and search your surrounding areas, make us a meal, allow us to or offer the use of your property for search or shelters, or support us with kind thoughts, words and prayers, we thank you all.
We have been overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of support from our small but amazing community, as well as so many others from surrounding communities.
There are so many good people out there! From the bottoms of our hearts, we thank you all!
Ryan and Kay-C Hayes
