To the Editor:

After a recent personal scare in the Village of Massena, I am forever grateful for the diligent, compassionate, and exemplary public service that was provided to me by the Massena Police Department.

The department deserves much praise for their extremely fast response to what was a tragedy in my personal world.

First, I thank Dispatcher Becky Caruso who was very kind and asked all of the right questions while I was in complete panic mode. She is certainly in the right profession as she has an incredible ability to calm a person down when they are completely distraught!

I also thank Officer Thompson for his hard work and quick thinking during such a stressful situation.

Last but certainly not least, I thank Officer Pernice for his immediate assistance and strong willingness to go the extra mile to ensure my problem was resolved. The Massena Police Department is very lucky to have these three as part of their staff.

I am so thankful for their phenomenal public service and dedication. Keep up the great work MPD! Thanks again!
