Opinion: Kiwanis Club of Potsdam thanks community for support of events

To the Editor:

The Kiwanis Club of Potsdam recently held a “No Foolin” Pancake Breakfast (April 1st.) at the United Methodist Church, Potsdam to benefit the Head Start Reading Program, the K-Kids, Builders and Key Clubs of the Potsdam School District.

Special recognitions to local businesses that donated supplies of pancake mix, Texas Toasting Bread, breakfast meats, eggs, milk, creamers, and real maple syrup. Thank you Foxy Roxy, Johnston’s H2O, Potsdam Ponderosa, Stewart’s Shop, Hide-a-Way Café`, Tony & Michele Weaver of Freihofer’s Distributors, NBT Bank, Scotts Auto Center, Inc., Dr. Jay Schecter, Dermatologist, Bronson Service Co.(Rotor-Rooter/Heating & A/C), Casella Waste Services, Pinto, Mucenski, Hooper, Van House & Co. CPA, PC; Reese & Connie Basham Maple Producers and Parker’s Maple Syrup.

Special ‘Thank You’ goes out to volunteers Bob Bower (Malone Kiwanis Club), Eryin Cota, Clara Valentine, Ryan Coon & Nelma, also Head Cooks Bill & Susan Barrett and Dan Simons; and all the Kiwanis Club of Potsdam members.

Two raffle baskets of breakfast items were won by Yvette Narrow and Kathie Ames.

The Potsdam Kiwanis Club urges the public to come and help support their K-Kids Club efforts. Kiwanis Club of Potsdam is always seeking new members.
