Opinion: Guns came in schools when God was taken out, says Akwesasne man

American school kids are terrified, fear grips their hearts as they make their way to their classrooms. In fear they are marching in the streets, crying out to their parents, and leaders “please protect us.”

The Bible states it very clearly that just before the return of Christ there will be perilous times on the earth. In Matthew 21:26 God says, “men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming to earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken (Matthew 21:26).

These kids are feeling in their inner most being, that, “That great day of Christ’s return” is coming soon, just over the horizon. Nothing in this world as we know it, will never be the same again.

Those kids marching have a reason to be scared. Their parents let them down. Their fathers and mothers didn't protect them. Their parents are to blame for this anarchy. These parents were part of the 1960s great mass rebellion.

They threw the Bible, prayer, and the Ten Commandments right out of schools. Their kids weren’t taught to ask for God’s protection. They forgot how to “hide under the shadow of the almighty” (Psalms 91).

When God is kicked out the school, evil creeps into the classrooms.

Easter is the time to remind ourselves that Jesus is our protector, our savior. Jesus went to the cross, taking out sins upon himself. He was crucified in out place. Jesus paid with his precious blood to remove our sins. So we could be protected from the power of our sinful nature, and from Satan’s power.

Never forget “we sinners put Jesus on the cross.”

It should have been us who hung on that cross for our sings, Jesus died to pay the ultimate price for our redemption with His life.

To receive the benefits of what Jesus did for us, the ultimate protection, just “confess that Jesus is your Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised His Son from the dead.”

If we do this we are protected, and saved (Romans 10:9) and have eternal life. If we neglect such a great gift, we are looking at eternal death. Choose right today.
