Happy National Healthcare Auxilian Day!

On May 2 Gov. Andrew Cuomo proclaimed the day as Healthcare Auxilian Day in New York State to recognize the dedicated Auxilians who annually donate more than five million hours of service to their healthcare facilities and to their communities.

New York State has more than 75,000 healthcare Auxilians who initiate, fund, and volunteer for a wide variety of patient and family care services – from outpatient clinics to intensive care units. Here at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center we are lucky to have approximately 140 of our own Auxiliary members.

These ladies really know what team work and dedication is all about. They have generously volunteered close to 14,000 hours of their time in 2017 for our medical center and our community. They may be called upon to work the gift shop, the craft room, to help out with an outreach project, a blood drive or a vendor sale, but no matter the task, they are always there when called upon.

If you should see one of our Auxiliary ladies today, please wish them a happy Healthcare Auxilian Day and thank them for all they do for our hospital family.

Mission Statement of the CHMC Auxiliary is to support the Medical Center community through volunteerism, advocacy and fundraising. For more information on becoming a member of the CHMC Auxiliary, please contact CHMC Auxiliary Liaison Ramona Kennedy at 315-393-1559 or email her atrkennedy@chmed.org
