It is really regrettable that two of the four flags displayed on the cover of the dust jacket of this new book about the History of the Diocese of Ogdensburg are incorrect.
The red/white/blue flag of Revolutionary France is shown when it should have been the Royalist, 'lilies of France'; three gold lilies on a white field.
The British flag should not have included the diagonal red cross, representing Ireland, which was not added until after 1800.
